It is done!
I just discovered, today, that I never actually released the page for last week. This fact is rather telling of the attention I’ve paid to the site as a whole. It actually works out a little better this way when I think about it. The last two pages are best read together anyway.
So now what? Rest! Or rather, a shift of gears. I’ve been writing a lot more lately, and will keep doing that. It’s pretty much the same mode I was in a year ago when I started creating pages for this comic in earnest. I think I’ll nurture it for a time until I run out of steam, then I’ll probably illustrate again.
I’m satisfied to have it be a (relatively) self sustained monster. I’ll probably come back to it in a few months and make some changes, add a page or two, etc., etc., bake cakes, eat said cakes, etc. The truth is I’m sure theirs some lack of coherency and cohesion, either occasionally or utterly.
If you’d like to comment on it, feel free! I’ll leave the comment option enabled for now. You can use it to complain about the didactic dialogue, or onomatopoeia (probably not a verb) the sound of wrathful sea mammals. Only those worthy of being immortalized in a skald’s battle poetry will be displayed.
I’m going to leave the “Coming Soon!” button up as a memorial to the concept, and homage to Fred Gallagher. Finally, thank you for reading it. I hope it didn’t harm you. If you enjoyed it, I’ll be coming back to it someday. I’ve long discovered that my brain will never allow me away from my pencil for long.

So I just noticed I’m missing a word bubble. It’s in Lithi’s hair. Skell is saying it. Her hair cannot speak on it’s own. Sorry if that is a spoiler.
I think hair is dead anyway so talking hair doesn’t make much sense. The only thing zombie hair would probably say would not make me feel very good considering its close proximity to my brain meats.
I’ll fix it later.
So I omitted a couple words from the end of page 33 by accident. You may want to read them if continuity means anything to you.

I will likely be taking a break from this website after I finish up the storyline. I have quite a bit of work done on the next chapter, but also much work left to do.

It is page 33. There are about… 5 more pages left in this prologue thing I am stringing together like a brutal 2d fighter combo.
I guess we’ll see what happens after that.
Page 25 is up in case you missed it last week. Page 26 is up now! In the present! Let us live in the moment. Also, I recind my previous comment about not posting anything of subtance, for now I have created this thing that yearns to break free from my head and into the hearts of children everywhere.
To explain its origins would require a command of heraldic customs that my teenage years of playing Team Fortress Classic left me partially lacking in. But I can tell you that he is like Toucan Sam if Toucan Sam were the star of a Lovecraftian rendition of the tooth fairy.
Use him to explain American customs, or to enlighten youth about the electoral college!
Sorry for the late update today, I forgot to suitibly threaten my automated system to post in my absence.
About halfway through what I would consider the prologue… things are coming together smooth enough, not as quickly as I would hope but nothing has collapsed in on itself despite my best efforts.
I won’t delude myself into thinking I will post anything worth while in this space for atleast the next month or so, but enjoy the comic pages in the meantime if you want.

I started typing about birds and kung fu and American comics.
An hour later I’m not sure where I’m going with it, but bed seems like a good idea.
Maybe I’ll post it in a couple days… otherwise another comic will be up next week.

Also… page 18 and 19 were added one and two weeks ago respectably. The comics go up every friday regardless of whether I post something in this space, but I’ll try to at least post a notice for people who think I have set trip wires on the comic buttons, a very worrisome and totally doable feat.
I keep wondering when the world will settle down and I can begin doing more than one comic a week. The answer I have found, about as austere a revelation as it was obvious, can be best summed up by a string of conflagrated english otherwise known as romaji:

I went digging for the actual quote from The Girl who Leapt through Time but instead came up with something I deemed close enough.
And since we’re on the subject, go watch the movie if you haven’t seen it. It’s not too hard to get; unlike 5cm per Second, which goes for sev-en-ty damn dol-lars for a used copy. Those hyphens are not there to link syllables. Those are dramatic pauses, occurring in which, I kill myself.
